Dear Friends,
The year has begun at a fast pace, and our team is now exploring new campaigns in multiple states. The greyhounds far and wide need a strong voice and we hope to make a difference in the worldwide effort to end dog racing in 2017.

But none of this work would be possible without you. We would especially like to thank the wonderful people who are personally funding this year's lobbying budget – you know who you are!

Last year, thanks to your grassroots efforts, we succeeded in passing a requirement that Florida dog tracks begin disclosing their injury records for the first time. We stripped millions in subsidies from West Virginia greyhound breeders, and in our proudest moment of 2016, GREY2K USA prohibited dog racing in Arizona! Tucson Greyhound Park held its last race on June 25 and the GREY2K USA Education Fund helped with the release of dozens of lucky dogs that same day.

Across the globe, we worked with allies in Argentina, Australia, Great Britain and Ireland on successful efforts to ban and/or reduce racing and the export of racing greyhounds to Asia. Pressure mounted and China’s only legal dog track, the Canidrome, was ordered to close.

So yes, change is coming! You can help today by signing the petition to the Macau government created by our Italian friends at Pet Levrieri. We join them in asking that all remaining greyhounds be released from the Canidrome to Albano Martins of ANIMA. Albano is also a GREY2K USA Worldwide board member, so he wears many hats!
